The Science Department manages functions relating to education and research.
Educational concerns include ongoing education activities, STARFLEET Academy courses, orientation and training content and keeping track of academic qualifications of the crew.
Research includes citizen science projects, study of popular culture and the study and discussion around Star Trek itself.
Below are the volunteer “Duty Station” positions that fall under the Science Department. Active members who don’t wish to volunteer may request to be assigned to Science as a “Standard position” with no duties allocated
